The month of May embraces Spring flowers, robins busy nesting, and the perfect opportunity to express our gratitude to all our mothers. As I sit down to write Homeward Bound, I think about all the ways mothers express their love to their children. Mother's Day is a celebration of all who embrace the spirit of the mother.
My mom is a sporty mom, she encouraged all of her 5 children to participate in sports, however, she wouldn't let us join any sports that we could get hurt in. To this day she still worries about us getting hurt. However, the legacy of her love of sports benefited us in so many ways, all my siblings are very grateful for the life skills and the wonderful childhood memories. Time reveals, in fact, just about every caring Mother never stops worrying about her children. – Happy Mother’s Day!!
Of course, this Mother's Day some moms will be worried about their children especially the moms who are sitting right now by their child’s hospital bed or their child cannot live at home...
You may recall my team and I are on a mission to raise $5000 in 2021. We do that by donating a portion of our income from home sales to these very worthy causes.
Right now, there are kids who are trying to beat cancer and other debilitating diseases. Enfant Soleil is one of the best non-profit charities for supporting the health care services of the children in our communities. The moms with kids being treated at our Montreal hospitals are most likely NOT thinking about their special day this month. They are simply just being “Mom” doing what a real loving Mom does. God bless them for it.
